As the number one goalie for the Alliston Hornets, they finished the regular season in second place, just one point behind Stayner. This is the best finish in the last 6 years for the Hornets. Tony achieved an amazing goal against average of 2.47 - tied for the best in all of Jr C, and two assists. Joining the team in Oct. 2001, Tony played 19 of the remaining 23 regular season scheduled games and posted a fabulous record of 15 wins, 1 tie, and 3 losses. Playing in a league with many small rinks is an excellent training camp for goalies. The average shots on net-35 during the regular season , hence posting a saves percentage of over 93% and being voted the most valuable player on the team, are two other notable achievements.
