Evan is an outstanding, dedicated and hard working athlete. His natural athleticism combined with his passion for baseball allows him to compete and excel at any level of play. Evan always carries his head high and plays with confidence and to his best ability. Evan is very dedicated to the sport and works his hardest with determination and desire whether it be a practice, game, or getting in extra work. Evan plans to pursue his academic goal of becoming a dentist after graduating this coming 2013 season. He has a 3.5 GPA and is obtaining an 87% average in his first semester of Grade 12. He scored 1650 on his SAT and achieved a combined score of 1110 (Math-580 and Reading-530). Currently Evan is playing for the Ontario Terriers 18u team, this is his second year in the Terriers organization which is an elite ball team that is run by former professional baseball scout Rick Johnston, Dan Thompson and former professional baseball player Paul Quantrill. Evan has been catching for 5 years, he had developed the skill and speed to perform offensively and defensively. This season, Evan is honing his outfield skills, capitalizing on the power of his arm and speed. Evan's top velocity was measured at 89mph and he believes that over the winter he will increase his velocity to 91-92mph. Offensively, Evan is very strong, he hits 5th in the lineup and has a batting average of .400. Evan is looking for a strong school academically and athletically where he can further develop his skills as a baseball player and strengthen them in order to achieve the next level and also to play at the highest level possible. In previous years he won the MVP award as well as the Most Improved Player Award.
