GENERAL INFORMATION

Academic Interest:
Sciences / Dramatic Arts

Additional Information:
Kyle is a well balanced student athlete who is able to manage his time between academics and his skiing commitments extremely well. He plans to pursue a degree in science or dramatic arts in the Fall of 2013 that matches a competitive NCAA alpine ski program with high academic standards. Kyle is currently one of seven boys that make up the menís Ontario Ski Team (OST ) with two coaches who work directly with the team during the year. Kyle will be traveling throughout the world year round for races and training in hope of one day representing Canada on the National Team. In 2011 at the Canada winter games in Wentworth, Nova Scotia Kyle was the overall winner finishing 1st winning gold in the Giant Slalom and Silver in the Super G. Coach Eckfeldt describes Kyle " as a great addition to our team. With a quiet confidence about him, he has a great work ethic whether it be in the gym or on snow. He is driven to succeed in reaching the highest level he can in ski racing and it shows all the way through, from the dedication he puts into his equipment organization to intense focus during training. Kyle is very coachable as can be seen by him actively working on fundamental techniques during his morning warm up and conversations during video sessions. It is truly a pleasure to work with Kyle and I'm sure he will continue his ways in any team environment he is placed." Kyle is currently attending his senior year of high school at Collingwood Collegiate Institute where he maintains a 3.0 GPA and is studying to write his SAT test in November. Early in Kyleís ski racing career, Kyle was able to demonstrate a balance as he was selected as a member for Ontarioís U16 menís rugby team and was earlier voted Valor Victorian by his peers graduating from grade school. He will be a valuable asset to NCAA collegiate program and looking to make an impact on the carnival circuit If you require any additional information regarding Kyle's academic or athletic status please contact us anytime.
