Trent is an intelligent young man of fine character and athletic ability. He plans to pursue a degree in law in the Fall of 2014 that matches a competitive varsity golf program with high academic standards. At the age 13 ( 2009) he was the youngest person to ever play in the Burlington Golf and Country Club Menís Club Championship which was founded in 1922. He was also the youngest to make the cut and finished 13th in 2009 shooting 77,79,79 and 2nd in 2011 with scores of 72,73,74 out of 183 competitors. 2012 was a fantastic season for Trent finishing 3rd at the CJGA Junior Euro Golf Cup Qualifier at Hidden Lake with rounds of 79 and 73 which qualified him for the Euro Cup in Scotland playing for Team Canada. Trent had the best record for the junior boys team beating USA and Scotland. He also came first at the Investors Group Junior Boys qualifying with a round of a 72 but couldn't attend the Ontario Championship because of the Euro Cup. He also came 2nd at the CJGA Fall series shooting a 74 and 1st and 2nd place finishes on the Hamilton Halton Junior Tour with rounds of 74,74,73. Trent is projected to be one of the country's top junior's in 2013 and looks forward to exploring all NCAA 1 programs. In 2011 Trent played several events on the Hamilton Halton Junior Golf Tour coming 1st at Heron Point Links shooting a 72 and Chedoke Martin Course scoring 71 . He also finished 1st at Royal Niagara with a 75, Station Creek (74) and 3rd at Tangle Creek shooting a 74 ( CISAA finals ) playing some events in the Canadian Independent School Athletic Association (High School Tournaments). Trent's coach Henry Brunton describes Trent as " as a wonderful man with vast potential. He would be a great asset to any collegiate program not only for his golfing ability but also for being an outstanding person". Academically Trent is very focused, as he understands that it takes more than golf to earn a scholarship. In addition to his athletic achievements, he has had numerous academic achievements. Trent scored in the top 25% in Canada in the Pascal Math Contest and has maintained a 90 percent average in all his classes.
