| Robin is a well rounded student athlete who excels both academically and in his specific sport. Robin has a passion for the sport that drives him to constantly improve and sacrifice everything else in order to do so. Robin is currently training at the Ontario Racquet Club (ORC) located in Mississauga, Ontario. In 2008 Robin moved from Saint Lucia where he was ranked #1. In most recent times Robin has faced the 10th ranked player in Ontario in boy’s singles under 18, Liviu-Mihai Calin. Robin was able to fight through the first set and win 7-6, but fell short in the next two sets, losing 3-6 3-6. Also he won the Wallace Park Tennis Club single champions in 2008, one month after he arrived in Canada. Months afterwards, Robin participated in the ORC 2009 doubles champions, which he comfortable won 1st for and claimed the title for his own. Robin’s game has improved significantly since his move to Canada in August of 2008. He has been training 4-6 days a week since then but now has moved to 7 days a week. Robin also shows a keen interest in the sciences and is looking into studying Orthodontics. Robin is continuing to grow and fine tune his strokes to compliment his aggressive base liner style of play. Robin is now showing more potential than ever because of his passion for the game that drives him, and his impressive athleticism. After moving into a completely new environment and school system, Robin has currently a 3.3 GPA which he has assured himself he will increase greatly during his senior year. After having spent one year in the Canadian system, he believes he will show his true potential and which will also show when he writes his SAT test in the Fall 2009. If any additional information is needed concerning Robin’s academic performance and athletic standing, feel free to contact us. |
