| Julia is a well rounded student athlete who excels both academically and athletically. She plans to pursue a degree in science or history in the Fall 2010, that matches a competitive varsity soccer program with high academic standards. Julia predominately plays attacking forward also known as the target forward. She has tremendous ability to win long balls or receive passes and hold up the ball as team mates advance and to help them score by providing a pass (through ball into the box ) or to score herself. She is currently playing for the U 17 Niagara Rush in the OYSL where she is currently the team captain and has been the top scorer 4 of the last 5 seasons. Coach Durish describes Julia " as a physical player with tremendous ball skills with excellent awareness who gets into positions to hurt opponents. She attacks by making passes with accuracy and creativity with a great scoring touch. Julia has the work ethic and talent required to succeed at the College level both as an athlete and a student. Julia's athleticism, intensity, and determination has also allowed her to excel in a number of other sports achievements including junior volleyball MVP, gold medal in the 400 meter, and selected to the regional all star basketball team. In addition to her athletic achievements, Julia has many academic accomplishments. She has obtained a 4.0 GPA which has earned her honor roll status throughout high school and academic awards in history, english and physical education.
