| Megan is a well rounded student athlete who excels both academically and athletically. Her educational goals include pursuing a career in law enforcement after successfully graduating from a well acclaimed college or university criminology program. Megan is applying for admission to universities and colleges for the 2008-2009 year. Megan is currently in her senior year at Eastview Secondary in Barrie, Ontario where she presently maintains a 82% average and is preparing to write her SAT test in December. Megan's interest in track and field, throwing division began when she entered high school. She began to make exceptional progress placing 1st at the 2007 OFSAA ( provincial high school championships ) in the junior girls shot put throwing a 10.04m During the fall of 2007, Megan joined the south simcoe district track and field club and had personal best distances in shot put with a 11.17m and discuss at 36.63m and attempted the hammer for the first time throwing a 28.96m. Megan qualified for the National Legion Championships in August 2008 where she finished 3rd in shot put and hammer. She has also participated in numerous events throughout the summer at York University against all the track clubs across Ontario where she is posting top 3 finishes consistently in the shot put, discuss, and hammer events. Megan's additional activities include rep hockey with the Barrie women's hockey association and high school basketball.
