| Nolan is a exceptional student who maintains a 3.7 GPA in his senior year of high school. He wants to attend a college or university in the Fall 2009 where he can persue a degree in engineering or physics from a well acclaimed academic and athletic program. In 2007, Nolan was placed 2nd at the Barrie County Club Junior Invitational, shooting a 78 out of a field of 60 golfers, and finished 2nd at Muskoka Highlands with a round of 70, 5th at Batteaux Creek with a 79, and 15th at the GAO Better Ball with a score of 73 at Oak Ridge.
Nolan has won MVP 3 consecutive years on this high school team where he has captained the team to qualify every year for the GBSAA championships. In 2008, Nolan finished 4th at Tangle Creek on the Bags tour shooting a 76 and 7th at the Pepsi Titleist event at Couchiching with a score of 76 and a 5th place finish at Heritage Hills. Nolan's coach of 3 years, Murray St. Onge, is ranked as one of the top 60 coaches in the world (by the World Golf Teachers Federation) and has taught 3 provincial champions and the #1 ranked female junior in Canada and top 10 NCAA 1 player. He describes Nolan as being very dedicated and disciplined towards doing what it takes to improve his game. His strong work ethic has him improving at a fast rate to be a potential scholarship candidate next year. Nolan recently shot a 76 on October 27th to finish 3rd place in the field of 50 golfers captaining his team to quality for the GBSSA high school championships. He also attained top 10 finishes consistently on 3 different tours every year. In addition to his athletic achievements, Nolan has many academic achievements including the chemistry exam award and also maintaining a honor roll average of 80% throughout high school maintaining.
