| Tyson is a well rounded student athlete who excels in the classroom and on the golf course. His main objective is to obtain a degree from all well acclaimed US University or College in the area of geography or physics in the Fall 2009. Tyson wants to extend and expand his golf career and play at the highest level possible while receiving a quality education. Tyson demonstrates the skills both mentally and physically to be a NCAA division 1 prospect. In 2004 he came first at Lake St George Club, South Muskoka, Brooklea, Nottawasaga, and 2nd at Tangle Creek playing in the Bay Area Bags Tour. In 2005 Tyson came 4th overall on the GAO clublink tour finishing 1st at Eagles Ridge shooting a 71, 4th place at the GAO Ontario Junior better ball, 2nd at the Oliver's Nest Invitational shooting a 75, and 2nd at the Wolf Run Junior Invitational. Tyson's coach Ken Tarling a former PGA player describes Tyson as extremely talented, who has the necessary tools to compete at the highest collegiate level. In 2006 he finished 2nd at the CJGA event at Timber Ridge and 6th at Cedarhurst ( CJGA ) and was eliminated in the 2nd round of the GAO junior match play 3 & 2 . In 2007 he finished 4th at the University Prospects golf showcase, 2nd at the GBSAA qualifier shooting a 73 at Battaux Creek, and 2nd at the GAO Ontario Junior Boys better ball with a score of 67 at Oakridge. Tyson has started off the 2008 season by winning the junior spring classic qualifier shooting a 69 with a field of 45 at Pines of Georgina and 3rd at the Men's better ball qualifier at Blue Mountain with a 72. Tyson is a multi sport gifted athlete who won MVP awards on high school and club teams in basketball, volleyball, rugby, football, hockey and lacrosse. In addition to his athletic achievements, Tyson has many academic accomplishments. He obtains a 87% average and has won the math excellence award, science award, and the principals leadership award.
